" there's good news for burma. the world bank has proposed development grants of $80 million and will provide another $160 million of credit once the country has cleared its existing debt. it's helping with the asian development bank and international monetary fund. this is after a year of political reform. we are joined by our bbc editor for the burmese service. >> the money is going to be used primarily to provide financial governance to the government and, also, to create conditions for growth and jobs. that's where the money is going to be spent. this is a tremendous boost to the burmese government, because in the last 20 decades there were western sanctions and it had not received any assistance financially from institutions such as the world bank and the asian development bank. the burmese government has always said the western sanctions have prevented them from getting aid. because of that, the development programs were postponed or have not taken place. this is a tremendous boost to the burmese government a
